About the Owners

Brad Kennedy, CPA

Brad Kennedy, CPBrad Kennedy, CPA is co-owner and co-founder of Kennedy CPA Firm which provides accounting, tax, and advisory services to owners of small businesses and individuals in Northern Mississippi as well as throughout the U.S. He is passionate about helping entrepreneurs have the information they need to grow and manage their businesses.

Brad is a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants where he served as President of the Northeast Mississippi Chapter. He was awarded the T. E. Lott Silver Medal Award for his exemplary performance on the CPA Exam.

Brad has been Vice President and Trust Officer at BNA Bank in New Albany, Mississippi since 2001. He serves as the bank’s chief credit analyst focusing on cash flow and financial statement analysis for small businesses seeking financing. He is responsible for all of the bank’s trust department operations as well as the bank’s internal information technology audit, Bank Secrecy Act audit, and vendor management program. As staff accountant earlier in his career, Brad worked with many individuals and owners of small businesses, helping them with their accounting, tax, and auditing needs.

Brad earned both his Master and Bachelor of Accountancy degrees at the University of Mississippi. When he is not working, you might find him golfing, running, or serving as Treasurer of his church. Brad also is an Ole Miss fan and sports broadcasting buff. He has been a radio play-by-play announcer for high school and junior college football and basketball games as well as a statistician and spotter for syndicated college football games.

Cathy Kennedy, CPA

Cathy Kennedy, CPACathy Kennedy, CPA is co-owner and co-founder of Kennedy CPA Firm. She is a member of the Northeast Mississippi Chapter of the Mississippi Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Cathy’s experience includes performing accounting services for various organizations, including a church, a university, and a furniture manufacturer. She also worked for an accounting firm, exposing her to a wide variety of businesses. Cathy has also taught accounting at the college level at Blue Mountain College in Blue Mountain, MS.

Cathy earned her Master and Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degrees at Mississippi State University. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking and spending time with family.
